Alert message sent 30/04/2020 16:31:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Dear Members of Oadby

Hello, hope you all are staying well. I would like to bring to your attention that we received a couple of calls relating to a male that knocked on a few doors and asked for money as he was having problems paying his electricity bill. The male is described as an Asian male between 40-60yrs, grey stubble beard, wearing a Maroon/Burgundy Jumper and a black jacket over it.

He has been to 'The Broadway' and 'Knighton Grange Road' in Oadby. Please could I ask that if there are any suspicious door knocks of a male asking for money is to call us, note the description and the direction of travel before calling us.
Please do not give money to anyone who is clearly cold calling and asking for money. He is also in breach of the Covid-19 regulations as clearly he isnt going out a run. If you have CCTV and have images of this male. Could I please ask that you take some still images and email it to us at NABeat55@leicestershire.pnn.police.uk . Thank you for your support.
