Good evening

We would like to make the residents of Broughton Astley aware of recent vehicle related criminal activity occurring at night.

To ensure the safety of yourselves and your vehicles, the neighbourhood policing team are strongly advising to the community to consider additional housing and vehicle security
Please consider:

• CCTV cameras
• Ring doorbell system
• If you are the owner of a keyless car or a vehicle of high value, a steering lock
• Letterbox cover or letterbox bristles
• Indoor alarm system
• External lights
• If you have a garage, please use it
• Do not leave tools inside vehicles. If you have to please make sure they are secured inside a locked container
• Try not leave key cars visible through windows or letterboxes
• Make sure all vehicles are locked and secured

Please be reassured that we are doing everything possible to maintain safety for the community. If you are aware of any suspicious activity or vehicles coming by, then please make this known to Leicestershire Police by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.
