Neighbourhood Watch

Alert message sent 18/09/2019 21:43:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Thankyou to all those who came to our Neighbourhood Watch evening at Loughborough College, it was a really useful evening and we were able to convey our plans for Charnwood Watch which I plan to launch in Charnwood on every beat .
For those of you who already have watch schemes that have run for many years , this new proposal isn't designed to replace what you do , I want to work with everyone in Charnwood to increase the police footprint and improve confidence in what we do , this is just part of that journey .
Can I please again ask for your assistance to spread the word for residents to sign up for Neighbourhood Link , this will be really important as we move forward with Charnwood Watch .

My target is 10000 people , some think that is too ambitious , need help to prove them wrong .

On another note , im really keen to ensure criminals who are currently targeting vehicles around Charnwood don't get any help. Please ensure your cars are locked and secure and all valuables are left out of sight , Please don't leave your car keys on display over night and a reminder that car key wallets are available still at Charnwood BC to reduce the risk of remote devices being used to steal your car.( free)

Thanks for your continued support
Mark
