Burglary Advice

Alert message sent 13/08/2019 11:54:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Good Morning Members,

This a quick message to advise you that there has been a few burglaries in our area so please be mindful to keep your homes and vehicles secure. Criminals have been targeting homes by an insecure lower ground floor window and climbing in. The house is then searched in order to obtain the car keys and the vehicle is then taken.

There are some simple steps you can take.
  • Lock all windows with a key
  • double lock all doors if available
  • keep car keys in a safe place
  • If you have a timer for a lamp downstairs use this as this will make out someone is awake.
These breaks to residential properties have been occurring during the very early hours of the morning so please be mindful to keep your property secure before going to bed.

Ever thought of setting up a Neighbourhood Watch? Get in touch and we can assist you in doing this and its absolutely free!

Stay Safe!

Regards

PC Neil Patel 729
Spinney Hill Police Station
East Park Road
Leicester.
