Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

Good afternoon

I am aware of several sheds on an allotment in Broughton Astley being broken into between 12th January 2020 and 13th January 2020.

Please have a quick read of the advice below:

1 - Fit a strong hasp and padlock to your shed door. Make sure the door is strong enough to resist being kicked or pushed in. Replace standard hinges with strap hinges secured by coach bolts or use security screws on existing hinges.

2 - Consdier fitting a battery operated shed alarm.

3 - Visibily mark the property you keep in your shed and also in your garage and use anchor points to secure larger tools and equipment.

If you need some advice on security, PCSO 6008 Bolton will be happy to assist you.
