Extraordinary General Meeting Rutland Neighbourhood Watch Association

Alert message sent 25/06/2020 12:23:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Neighbourhood Watch

To All Members of the Rutland NHW Association.

Important Notice.

Notice is hereby given of an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Rutland NHW Association to be held at 7.30pm on the evening of Wednesday 19th August, 2021.

This meeting will have as its sole aim approval of a change in status from a Limited Company to a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation).  This was agreed in principle at the AGM last year, but lack of a sufficient quorum prevented its formal approval at that time.  The Association's present Articles of Association allow for this approval to be sought at an EGM, where only a majority of those present is required for approval to be gained.

A copy of the Articles of Association for the proposed new CIO is available for inspection on the Rutland NHW Association website at 'http://rutlandnhw.org.uk'.  The Directors have taken the opportunity to simplify the present Articles in keeping with the new COI status and the Association's present circumstances.

Because of the Coronavirus situation, it is proposed to conduct the EGM virtually, using the Zoom app.  This app has been successfully used by Board members at two recent meetings.  There will be a test run on the Wednesday preceding the date of the EGM, ie 12th August, to ensure that all those who wish to attend are able to participate effectively.

In order to attend the virtual EGM, it will be necessary for members to register their interest in advance and not later than midnight on Sunday 19th July by emailing the Association at 'rutlandnhw@gmail.com'.

The Directors of Rutland NHW Association.
