Keep Up To Date On Leicester City Match Days

Alert message sent 17/08/2018 08:03:00

Information sent on behalf of Leicestershire Police

The new football season is now underway and Premier League football finally returns to Leicester this weekend.

With attendances at the King Power Stadium continuing to average over 30,000 spectators per game, each event can impact on the city and it’s surroundings, which is why Leicestershire Police have launched a Twitter account to cover all aspects of public safety at Leicester City home games and other major events in Leicester.

Whether you’re a Foxes fan, a business located in the vicinity of King Power Stadium, a local resident, or just a regular traveller through the city, this dedicated social media account covers all relevant aspects of a match day, including traffic and travel updates, crime prevention, stadium safety information and counter terrorism advice.

The account also provides exclusive behind the scenes content of each policing operation, as well as interviews and messages featuring officers and other Force staff.

So, if you have access to Twitter, you can keep up to date with all the latest updates by searching for @LeicsEvents on your Twitter app, or by visiting and clicking on ‘Follow’.

If you don’t have access to Twitter but you do have access to other social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat, just search for Leicestershire Police, where you can also find regular updates and match day-related content.
