NPA Commander Update |

Dear Residents, As we move into October, I would like to thank the residents of Rutland for their continued support and engagement with our local policing teams. Rutland remains a safe place to live, work and visit, and we are committed to maintaining that through visible neighbourhood policing, strong partnerships and listening to the concerns of our communities. The priorities we focus on are shaped by community feedback received through local meetings, Neighbourhood Link surveys and direct engagement with officers. During the past month, our teams have continued to tackle issues affecting local communities, including anti-social behaviour, shop theft, road safety concerns and activity linked to drug dealing. Working closely with Rutland County Council and other partners, we have carried out targeted enforcement activity while also supporting vulnerable people who may be at risk of exploitation or harm. Issues such as youth-related ASB, retail crime and speeding remain priorities for us, reflecting concerns regularly raised by residents. We’d also like to thank PCSO Beth Wynn-Jones for her service to Policing in Rutland and wish her well in her new career as a Police Officer. Hopefully we will see Beth again soon should she be posted to Melton and Rutland.
You Said, We Did You said: Speeding and road safety remain concerns on rural roads and through villages. We did: Worked alongside Roads Policing colleagues to carry out enforcement activity and targeted patrols at locations highlighted by residents. Community information continues to help us identify areas requiring additional attention You said: You want to see local officers in your communities. We did: Continued high-visibility patrols within our towns and villages, attended community events and worked closely with councils and partner agencies to address local concerns. This engagement helps us identify issues early and work with communities to find long-term solutions

I encourage everyone to continue reporting concerns and sharing information with us.
