2 Shop Lifters Arrested in 1 Day

Yesterday proved you can run but you can’t hide - literally 🏃

🔍 After enforcement on Monday the Safer Streets Team were left feeling a bit sad; despite arresting 5 individuals they had failed to locate the one male they were looking for.

👮In a stroke of luck officers from North of the County were flagged down after the report of a theft, yesterday afternoon. After a quick foot chase the officers located and arrested the male we were looking for.

✅ Lewis Shellard (37 of Desford) was interview in custody and charged in relation to 8 thefts.

There were thefts from ASDA and two Post Office stores in Oadby. He was also charged with 1 theft from Wickes, South Wigston.  He has also been bailed in relation to other investigations while our enquires continue.

📁A file will now be prepared for the court where he can account for his actions.

Meanwhile D shift came to the rescue when another one of our wanted males was arrested in Leicester.

✅ They interviewed and charged Kyle Potter (27 of Leicester) with 6 thefts. 1 from Shell Garage Oadby, 1 from Kibworth Co-op, 1 from BP Garage, Market Harborough and others in Leicestershire. He has also been bailed while out enquires continue to other reports.

👏 A massive thank you to all the stores for their support with the investigations. We want to encourage stores to report matters to us so we can continue targeting those offending on our area. A big thanks to D shift for their support this week.
