Supporting Local Businesses and Keeping Our Communities Safe
PCSO Joshua (6196) from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Fraud Protect Officer Jetha (8407) from the Special Operations Unit had the pleasure of meeting with members of our local community.
During our visits, we engaged with local businesses and provided tailored crime prevention advice, focusing on:
📦 Carrier Fraud Prevention Practical guidance was shared to help businesses recognise and prevent carrier fraud, reducing the risk of financial loss and disruption.
💍 Gold Jewellery Theft Awareness Businesses were offered advice on improving security measures and identifying opportunities to protect valuable stock from theft.
These conversations help strengthen relationships with the community while ensuring businesses have the knowledge and resources needed to stay vigilant against emerging crime trends.
Increased Patrols Across the Area
You may also have noticed a greater police presence in the area recently. 🚓
Neighbourhood officers are conducting enhanced patrols to:
✅ Deter theft and acquisitive crime ✅ Tackle street crime and anti-social behaviour ✅ Reassure residents, workers and visitors ✅ Maintain safe and welcoming local communities
Our aim is to provide visible policing, engage with those who live and work in the area, and address concerns raised by the community.
Working Together for a Safer Community
Neighbourhood policing plays a vital role in preventing crime and building strong community partnerships. We would like to thank everyone who took the time to speak with us today and share their thoughts and concerns.
Together, we can continue to make our communities safe places to live, work and visit. 🏡
