☀️ As we enter another heatwave, please take care and look out for those who may be more vulnerable to the effects of the hot weather.
Staying Safe in Hot Weather
There are a few simple steps everyone can take to stay safe:
💧 Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated throughout the day.
😎 Avoid prolonged periods in direct sunlight, especially during the hottest part of the day.
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains or blinds in sun-facing rooms.
👒 Wear appropriate clothing and use sun protection when outdoors.
A Reminder for Drivers
Never leave children, vulnerable people or animals in a parked vehicle, even for a short period. Temperatures inside vehicles can rise rapidly and become dangerous within minutes.
By taking a few simple precautions and looking out for one another, we can help keep our communities safe throughout the heatwave.
