Community Foot Patrols in Heather and Ibstock

This morning, I spent a couple of hours out on foot patrol, engaging with members of the public and maintaining a visible policing presence within our local communities.

I started the morning in Heather, making visits to the Village Hall and Heather St John's Football Club, where I had the opportunity to speak with residents, visitors and event organisers attending the village's annual Scarecrow Festival. It was great to see the event so well attended, with plenty of people out enjoying the day and contributing to a positive community atmosphere.

As part of my patrol, I also spent time in Ibstock, carrying out reassurance patrols around areas that have previously experienced reports of anti-social behaviour. During these patrols, I engaged with local residents and representatives from Ibstock Parish Council, discussing community concerns and local issues.
