Donington Crack Down

This evening, officers from the #ValleyBeatTeam and our response colleagues were out in Castle Donington as part of a multi-agency operation alongside officers from the Community Safety Team at North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC).

The aim of the operation was to tackle anti-social driving in the area, using both marked and unmarked police vehicles to identify and deal with offending drivers. Our colleagues from NWLDC were also on hand to issue on-the-spot fines for any breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO).

I'm pleased to report that no offences were identified during this evening's operation. While this is encouraging, our work doesn't stop here. We have further operations planned throughout the summer on various days and evenings to ensure our communities remain safe and welcoming for everyone.

I'd like to thank our colleagues from NWLDC for their support this evening and for their continued partnership in future operations.
