🚔💙 Braunstone & Rowley Fields Evening Policing Update 💙🚔

Good evening everyone,

PCSOs Beth and Julie have been out this evening covering the ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) Car across the west of the city. During their shift, they carried out high-visibility patrols in areas highlighted by residents and local intelligence, engaging with members of the community and providing reassurance to those we met along the way. 👮‍♀️🚓👮‍♀️

They have also been conducting Operation Habitual patrols, a joint initiative between Leicestershire Police and Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service aimed at reducing deliberate fires, anti-social behaviour and associated community harm during the summer months. 🔥🚒🚔

The operation focuses on visible engagement, prevention, reassurance and early intervention in identified hotspot locations. During patrols, officers work alongside partners to: 

✅ Reduce deliberate fires and fire-related ASB
✅ Engage positively with young people and members of the community
✅ Identify emerging hotspot locations and problem individuals
✅ Gather intelligence and provide reassurance to local residents
✅ Work in partnership to prevent incidents before they occur
✅ Respond proactively to any increase in arson-related incidents

Meanwhile, PCs Chelsea and Ryan have had a busy shift, attending a concern for safety incident and ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures were put in place for those involved. 🤝💙

They also assisted colleagues from Beaumont Leys Police Station with a number of Section 18 searches, supporting ongoing investigations and helping to gather evidence to progress enquiries. 📋🔍

In addition, Chelsea and Ryan carried out cuckooing visits, checking on vulnerable individuals who may be at risk of exploitation by offenders seeking to use their homes for criminal activity. These visits are an important part of our commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people and helping to protect them from harm. 🏠❤️

It has been another busy and productive evening, with officers focusing on tackling anti-social behaviour, safeguarding vulnerable people, supporting investigations and maintaining a visible presence across our communities.
