Alcohol Awareness Week – Stay Safe and Look Out for Each Other |
||
|
Dear Residents,
As part of Alcohol Awareness Week, we are sharing two useful resources to help raise awareness of alcohol-related risks and promote personal safety within our communities.
Attached you will find information on: Drink spiking can happen anywhere, including pubs, clubs, festivals, house parties and while travelling. It can involve adding alcohol to a non-alcoholic drink, adding extra alcohol to an alcoholic drink, or introducing drugs without the person's knowledge.
Some signs that a drink may have been spiked include: To help stay safe: Stay with friends and look out for one another when socialising.
If you suspect that a drink has been spiked, seek help immediately from venue staff, trusted friends, or emergency services if required. Incidents should be reported to the police as soon as possible.
We encourage everyone to take a few minutes to read the attached information and share it with family, friends and neighbours. By increasing awareness, we can help keep our communities safe and support those who may be vulnerable.
Thank you for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Your Local Belgrave Beat Team | ||
