🚔 Joint Operation with Trading Standards Leads to Arrests and Seizures in Leicester 🚔
Yesterday, the Braunstone Beat Team worked alongside our partners from Leicester City Council Trading Standards to execute a warrant at a premises on Hopefield Road, Leicester.
The warrant was obtained following police intelligence relating to the suspected sale and supply of drugs from the premises. Concerns had also been raised by Trading Standards regarding the sale of illicit alcohol and other potentially non-compliant products.
During the warrant, officers from Leicestershire Police discovered and seized quantities of cannabis from within the premises. As a result, two individuals were arrested and remain under investigation as part of ongoing criminal proceedings.
Trading Standards officers also identified and seized a number of items, including: 🚭 Disposable vapes located behind the counter It is worth noting that single-use disposable vapes have been illegal in the UK since 1 June 2025, and any business found supplying banned products can expect enforcement action. This operation demonstrates the value of partnership working in tackling criminality, protecting consumers and keeping our communities safe.
