Working Together to Keep Our Parks Safe |
||
|
Dear Residents Every month, the Parks Tactical Group meets to discuss anti-social behaviour (ASB) concerns affecting parks and open spaces managed by North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC). We work closely with NWLDC to identify and address areas of concern, including criminal damage and other illegal activity. The Parks Team work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure our leisure spaces remain clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone in the community. During this month's meeting, damage to several trees in Coalville Park was highlighted. Sadly, it appears that someone has used an axe to deliberately hack at a number of trees, causing significant damage and resulting in some having to be removed. This is extremely disappointing to see. Coalville Park is a beautiful open space that is valued by so many members of our community, and it is disheartening to see damage caused to such an important local asset. I would like to reassure residents that patrols in the area will be increased, and I will be working to identify those responsible for this damage. If you have any information regarding this incident, or have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in or around Coalville Park, please get in touch. Together, we can help protect our green spaces for everyone to enjoy. PCSO 6596 Rose
