Keeping in touch with our rural communities

Today, I have been out on foot patrol in Normanton-le-Heath, taking the time to speak with residents who were out and about, discussing any local concerns and issues within the village.

As many will appreciate, smaller communities like this can often feel overlooked compared to larger areas such as Ashby. That’s why opportunities like this are so important — ensuring residents feel heard, supported, and connected to their local policing team.

It was a great chance not only to touch base regarding any concerns, but also to have a friendly chat and build those valuable relationships within the community. Engagement like this helps us better understand local needs and continue working together to keep our neighbourhoods safe and welcoming.
