Hello Resident,
We hope you are well. Here is an update regarding crime and Police activity in Burbage this week.
Reported Crime and Appeals
Report from the fields at the bottom of Bullfurlong lane, where it appears suspects have entered sheds on the field and made attempts to take items. Incident occurred between 21:00 on the 14th and 07:00 on the 15th. Please be mindful around shed breaks and items such as horse tack, tools and bicycles. Please consider PIR shed alarms, alarmed padlocks and try not to leave high value items in locations such as sheds.

No crimes reported but if you have any information or CCTV, please get in touch. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk Please be aware of motorbike thefts, whilst there have been no reports in Burbage recently, there has been a few in Hinckley and the surrounding areas over recent weeks.
Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement
We have completed a lot of patrols this week all around Burbage. We have targeted areas such as the East Close garage area and local parks. We have also completed patrols at Sketchley Primary school and visited Hastings High. The only issues found were a couple of vehicles parked on zigzags and double yellow. They were promptly told to move. We continue to visit these areas and unfortunately have to educate motorists around where not to park, as we are trying to keep their children safe.
We completed our beat surgery at the SPAR with a member of the rural community council. The RCC are a charity who work in the community and aim to create well connected rural communities where people enjoy good physical, mental, social, and economic well-being. You can find out more here Home - RCC
Areas we visited include the garages on East Close, Tilton Road Park, Three Pots Estate, Flowers estate and Winchester Drive area.
Crime prevention and issues to be aware of
A resident has lost a very sentimental bracelet around the Grove Road to Windsor Street area. If you find it or have found it, please get in touch as it will mean a lot to the resident to have it returned. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk
Over the coming weeks and months, we will be completing some targeted work around crime prevention in relation to residential burglary and vehicle crime. We have already visited areas such as the Cardinal Drive area (Hansom Cab) and we are looking to raise awareness and support residents with crime reduction measures. If you would like any additional support, please get in touch.
We have had a report from a resident where their email account had been hacked. If you receive emails, even from people you know, please be mindful that accounts can get hacked and never give personal information such as bank details or personal information. You can find out more about securing your email here. What to do if your email has been hacked, according to a tech expert - Which?
Thank you and take care.
