🚓 Riverside Beat Team Weekly Update

It’s been a busy and proactive week for the Riverside Beat Team, focused on prevention, visibility, and supporting our community 👮‍♂️

🚓 Proactive Patrols

As the school term came to an end, officers carried out high visibility patrols in key areas across the city centre. In previous years, this period has seen larger groups gathering, which at times has led to increases in anti-social behaviour. These patrols are part of a proactive approach to provide reassurance, manage gatherings, and ensure everyone can enjoy their time safely.

 🚨 Bank Holiday Support

During the bank holiday weekend, Sgt Wilson and PC Jess supported response teams during a busy period, helping ensure incidents were dealt with safely and effectively ✅

Officers also assisted with a drink drive arrest, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to keeping the roads safe 🚫🍺

👮‍♂️ Working Together

Riverside officers have continued to work closely alongside response teams, supporting a range of incidents and ensuring people receive the help they need. This included assisting with missing person enquiries, public order incidents and supporting vulnerable individuals.

 🔎 Missing Person Enquiries

During the week, Riverside officers assisted in locating a missing male, who was found safe and well. Later in the week, Phil and Hafsa also supported a further missing person enquiry, successfully helping to locate the individual safely.

🏛️ Community Engagement

Officers V and Hafsa attended an event at Newarke Museum, providing crime prevention advice and giving residents the opportunity to speak directly with their local officers 🤝

🔍 Ongoing Patrols & Teamwork

Throughout the week, officers:

✅ Located missing persons safely

✅ Carried out proactive patrols and acted on intelligence

✅ Supported vulnerable individuals

✅ Helped prevent and reduce anti-social behaviour
