Police Weekly Update – Mountsorrel Beat

Your local beat team have been out on patrol this week, providing a high-visibility presence around the village to offer reassurance and deter crime and anti-social behaviour.

Enquiries into the damage at Memorial Playfields have now been concluded. During the investigation, a main suspect was identified and interviewed. When presented with the evidence, he admitted to causing the damage and has since been referred to the Leicestershire County Council Young Family and Wellbeing Service.

A further three young people were also identified at the location and have been dealt with through the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) incremental approach.

Officers have also carried out a reassurance visit to a vulnerable person within the village, ensuring appropriate support and safeguarding measures are in place.

In addition to focusing on local priorities, the team have also been assisting with various operations across the wider force area.
