👮‍♂️ Melton Town Centre – My Shift Highlights 👮‍♀️

The last couple of weeks on shift in Melton have certainly kept things interesting!

Beginning with what was reported to us as an RTC… turned out not to be a vehicle at all, but a mobile phone that really didn’t appreciate being dropped. Thankfully no injuries – just a very unhappy screen! 📱😄

There’s been plenty of time spent reviewing CCTV and making enquiries into multiple shop thefts across the beat. As always, a big thank you to our local businesses and S.M.A.R.T for your continued support and vigilance.

We also teamed up with Environmental Health to secure an abandoned building that had been causing ASB and concern for welfare within the town. Great partnership working to help keep everyone safe and reassured. 🤝

One particularly curious moment involved a mysterious ladder appearing at the back of a bank 🪜👀 – only for it to turn out to belong to a very legitimate repair man fixing a leaky roof. Mystery solved!

And finally, a real highlight was the fantastic 1940s Weekend in Melton Mowbray. The outfits, music, vehicles and atmosphere were brilliant, and it was great to see the town centre so busy and full of life.
