๐ Riverside Beat โ Weekly Roundup ๐ฎ Proactive Drug Enforcement Arrest Following increased reports and intelligence around drug use and dealing in Castle Gardens, officers carried out highโvisibility patrols in the area. A male suspected of being involved in a drug deal was stopped and arrested. Subsequent enquiries and a search of his address led to the recovery of a significant quantity of Class A drugs. The male has since been charged with: ๐ Supporting the Response Team As a Neighbourhood Policing Team, Riverside officers focus on prevention, visibility, and local priorities. This week, PC Fabian and PC Jess supported Response colleagues across a number of incidents: ๐ค Community Engagement Hafsa supported a bike safety and registration event at Leicester Royal Infirmary ๐ฒ alongside Dr Bike โ Northside Bikes. NHS staff were able to access free bike safety checks and registration, helping promote safer cycling and crime prevention. ๐ค Engagement at Leicester Royal Infirmary Phil and Hafsa also spent time engaging with NHS staff and members of the public in the LRI restaurant. They provided reassurance, crime prevention advice, and positive conversations with those working and visiting the hospital ๐ ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง Youth Engagement Phil attended the SAPA Play Association, supporting young people in a safe and positive environment. This provided an opportunity to speak with families, build relationships, and offer ongoing support to the community. ๐ป Test Purchasing Operation Riverside officers carried out a test purchasing operation across offโlicences on the beat to ensure compliance with licensing laws. Out of six premises visited: Appropriate action has been taken, and details have been passed to the Licensing Team for further enforcement โ๏ธ
