๐ A Week on the Riverside Beat ๐ Itโs been another busy and varied week for our Riverside team โ hereโs a snapshot of just some of the work keeping our community safe: ๐ Community Events Officers proudly supported the Vaisakhi parade, accompanying the procession from the city centre through to East Leicester and helping ensure everyone could celebrate safely. ๐ฅ Problem-Solving in Action Sgt Wilson joined partner agencies on a patch walk to tackle reports of fires being lit, which were causing disruption to a nearby care home for vulnerable residents. ๐๏ธ Listening to Residents PC Fabian worked alongside Platform Housing at Jarrom Court following reports of drug dealing and antiโsocial behaviour. Strong partnership working is essential to addressing ongoing community concerns. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ Protecting the Public PCs Jess, Merryn and Callum successfully arrested a man suspected of serious sexual offences. Investigations are ongoing. ๐ก๏ธ Safeguarding Our Communities PCSO Hafsa has been supporting our safeguarding teams through engagement and outreach work with vulnerable individuals. ๐ค Supporting Those in Need PCSOs Jas and Phil helped out at the food bank at St Andrews Play Association, while also carrying out patrols and focusing on hotspot areas across the beat. ๐ Engaging with Students PCSO V has been based at DMU as part of Community Week โ a great chance to talk crime prevention, answer questions, and build stronger links with students and staff. As always, this is just a small glimpse into the wide range of work our Riverside team carries out every week. ๐ช๐ป Stay safe, Riverside. #inyourcommunity #yousaidwedid
