Westcotes Weekly Update |
||
|
This week, officers on the Westcotes beat have been actively working to address community concerns, carry out enforcement activity, and maintain a visible presence across the area.
We are pleased to welcome PC Luckaz and PCSO Alex to the Westcotes team. Both officers have already begun engaging with the community and supporting ongoing policing activity on the beat.
During patrols, officers identified and dealt with a cannabis grow within the area.
Proactive patrols have continued throughout the week, with officers focusing on key locations highlighted by residents, including areas linked to anti-social behaviour and criminal activity. High-visibility patrols remain a priority to provide reassurance and deter offending.
The Beat Bus was deployed at Bede Park, where officers spent time speaking directly with members of the public, listening to concerns, and offering crime prevention advice. Engagement opportunities like this remain an important part of neighbourhood policing.
Officers arrested a female wanted on warrant on the beat.
In addition, officers successfully located two high-risk missing children. Both were safeguarded and appropriate follow-up actions have been taken in partnership with relevant agencies.
We also attended a meeting with the council and Selective Licensing team to discuss concerns relating to a landlord, focusing on housing standards and ensuring appropriate action is taken where required.
We encourage residents to continue engaging with us and reporting any concerns. Your information helps us to prioritise and respond effectively to issues within the community.
