Dear resident,

As we head into the Easter holidays, we hope everyone in our community enjoys a safe and relaxing break with family and friends.

This time of year often brings increased gatherings and celebrations, so we’re reminding parents, carers, and local residents about the importance of helping us prevent proxy alcohol purchasing—where adults buy alcohol for under‑18s.

Buying alcohol for someone underage might seem harmless, but it can put young people at real risk and can lead to serious consequences for both them and the adults involved.

We’re working closely with our partners through the Belgrave Community Alcohol Partnership (CAP) to address underage drinking and keep our young people safe. Your support makes a huge difference.

✅ Speak to young people about the risks
✅ And help us by not purchasing alcohol for anyone under 18
