📢 Rutland North Beat – Quarterly Priority Update

Following feedback from members of the public, our quarterly priorities remain the same. We continue to focus on burglary, road safety, and rural crime across the Rutland South beat, and here’s a fuller update on what our team has been doing this month:

🏠 Burglary

Our burglary priority remains unchanged, and over the past month we have continued to support victims by visiting them in person to offer reassurance, gather further information, and help build a clearer picture of each incident. Officers have also carried out rural high‑visibility patrols 🚓 to deter offenders and increase security in the areas affected. Alongside this, we continue to work with specialist teams to progress ongoing investigations 🔍, ensuring all viable lines of enquiry are thoroughly explored.

🚗 Road Safety

Road safety also remains a key focus. Officers have been conducting high‑visibility patrols 👮‍♂️🚨 in areas highlighted as concerns and working with partner agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to problem locations. This month, our team has attended several road traffic collisions 🚑, carrying out full investigations and taking action where offences were identified. These efforts help us reduce risk on our road network and improve safety for all motorists.

🌾 Rural Crime

Rural crime continues to be a priority for the Rutland South beat. We work closely with the Rural Policing Team 🤝, carrying out day‑and‑night proactive patrols 🌙☀️ across farms and isolated areas, responding immediately to incidents, and taking firm action when offenders are identified. Officers have also continued visiting victims, offering target‑hardening advice 🔐 to help reduce the likelihood of repeat incidents. The Rural Policing Team have achieved exceptional results, recently recovering stolen machinery and reaching a milestone of £3 million worth of equipment recovered 💼💷 since their inception. Additionally, the beat team has been conducting trailer stops 🚜 across the road network to ensure equipment is legitimate—thank you to everyone for their cooperation.
