Shift update |
||
|
It’s certainly been a busy start to the week
Here’s a snapshot of the last couple of days on shift:
Sunday
Sunday started early with a report of a vehicle without registration plates in Kegworth. The vehicle 🚙 was located and checks carried out, with all documentation found to be in order.
From there, it was back to Coalville following reports of off-road bikes causing anti-social behaviour at Snibston Country Park. An area search was conducted, but no sightings were made. Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.
Shortly after, i attended a two-vehicle road traffic collision on Coalville Lane, where assistance was provided to support vehicle recovery.
I also assisted Bardon Beat colleague PCSO 6860 with house-to-house and CCTV enquiries in Ibstock. During follow-up patrols, officers were approached by residents reporting a crime. A crime report has been generated and enquiries are ongoing.
Monday
Monday began with a report of a vehicle displaying false plates. The vehicle was located, and after checks, it was confirmed to be displaying the correct registration. The caller was updated accordingly.
I then assisted Valley Beat colleagues with recovering items discarded from a stolen vehicle. These were located, recovered, and booked in for forensic examination.
A joint visit was later carried out with Riverside housing officer Zion at a property in Hugglescote, before returning to the station to catch up on administration.
A busy couple of days, with plenty of proactive and reactive policing across the area.
**If you have any information relating to incidents in your area, please report via 101 or online. In an emergency, always call 999.
