Local Policing Update |

📢 Rutland North – Monthly Policing Update Here’s what your local beat team has been working on this month: 🏠BurglaryWe’ve carried out targeted patrols in affected areas and spoken with residents to offer reassurance and gather information. Working alongside CID, we’ve completed house‑to‑house checks, CCTV enquiries and follow‑ups with victims. Recently recovered stolen property has also been returned, opening up new lines of enquiry. 🚓 Road SafetyWe’ve maintained a high‑visibility presence through regular marked patrols, speed monitoring and use of the speed gun. We continue to work with partners, including the Road Safety Partnership mobile camera van, to target problem areas—updates will be shared on Neighbourhood Link. Officers have attended several Road Traffic Collisions, investigated circumstances and dealt with any offences identified. Multiple vehicles have been seized for issues such as no insurance. We’ve also conducted ANPR and speed checks across villages and attended parish and engagement meetings to update residents. 🚜 Rural CrimeWe continue to work closely with the Rural Policing Team, conducting proactive day‑and‑night patrols, responding immediately to reports of hare coursing and dealing robustly with offenders. We’ve visited victims, progressed enquiries and supported efforts to recover stolen equipment. The Rural Policing Team recently recovered more stolen machinery and have now reached an incredible milestone of £3 million worth of equipment returned since forming. Thank you to our rural community for your vigilance—please ensure equipment is security‑marked and registered. We have also been stopping trailers on local roads to confirm they are legitimate. | ||
