🚓 A Busy Week on the Riverside Beat! 🚓 Here’s a snapshot of what your Riverside Neighbourhood Team have been up to this week: 👮♀️ Welcome to PC Jess! We were thrilled to welcome PC Jess, who’s joined us from a neighbouring beat and will now be our DMU Liaison Officer. With a wealth of neighbourhood policing experience, she’ll be a familiar face around the university grounds and we’re excited to have her on board! 🚨 Quick Arrests on Patrol During proactive patrols, PC Fabian spotted and swiftly arrested a male suspected of domestic-related harassment. Great work keeping victims safe and offenders accountable. 🔍 Drugs Supply Arrest Not long after joining, PC Jess arrested a male concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, with further investigations underway. 🐰 PCSO V Meets Some Furry Friends While giving a resident some policing advice, PCSO V was introduced to their very cute pet rabbits—and couldn’t resist a cuddle. Community policing at its best! 🌿 Cannabis Factories Dismantled Our Riverside officers supported a neighbouring team in safely dismantling two cannabis factories, helping prevent harm and disrupt illegal drug activity. 🔨 Emergency Warrant Executed Last night, officers executed an emergency warrant linked to the supply of Class A drugs, following the arrest of two individuals for similar offences. The investigation is ongoing. 🎉 Community Engagements Our PCSOs visited SAPA (St Andrews Play Association)—a brilliant, safe space for young people—as part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement. We also stopped by Hazel Primary School, Pavilion Close, Castle Gardens, and De Montfort University, meeting plenty of residents and getting many signed up to Neighbourhood Link. Another packed week for the Riverside team—working hard to protect, engage, and support our community. Stay safe, Riverside team! 👮♂️💙
