Riverside Beat Priority Update |
||
|
Hi all,
Please see the February update for our priorities:
ASB in Open Spaces: What we have done this month:
This month, the team have received reports from residents around Pavilion Close in relation to items being dumped after someone has been sleeping in the car parks underneath the buildings. This has started to impact residents as families are having to go about their lives right next to it. Advice has been sent via NHL stating what action to take with the local council and the housing providers. A male has also been identified as being involved and the ASB incremental approach has started.
The team have also increased patrols within the multi-storey car parks where reports were received of people using them to use drugs. A male has been arrested of being in possession of drugs within the NCP after a report was made.
Our PC’s have been completing door knocks and enquiries around Winifred Street after an address was highlighted as being taken advantage of by drug users and dealers. CCTV has been looked at but please be vigilant of what’s happening at your neighbours houses across the community, and report anything suspicious or unusual.
The whole team have been assisted by other resources to increase the police presence around DMU grounds as reassurance after the tragic incident of a student being fatally stabbed. Further details of this can be found online but be rest assured, the incident wasn’t random, and public are still safe to be out and about in this area.
Be sure to interact with our officers when you see them out and about.
