Birstall & Wanlip - February Newsletter |
||||||||||||
|
Welcome to the monthly update for the residents and communities of the Birstall & Wanlip Neighbourhood Policing Area (NPA). This newsletter will be circulated on a regular basis and will provide an insight into what is happening at the NPA.
Residential Burglaries
Officers have conducted targeted patrols in hotspot areas and working with locals to raise awareness. Crime prevention advice has been shared with residents.. Following this we have had 1 residential burglaries in the past month.
Youth-related ASB
Patrols have been increased during evenings to provide reassurance and deter offending. Officers have been taking incremental action against perpetrators and will continue to identify those causing issues, working closely with partner agencies to address behaviour and explore diversionary options.
Vehicle-related ASB
Officers have carried out enforcement under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act and continue to monitor hotspot locations, we have placed signs warning those who commit ASB. Work is underway with local council and businesses to explore longer-term solutions, including joint working and environmental measures. We have recently trained more officers in the use of mobile speed cameras and plan to run speeding operations later this year. An e-scooter has been seized and we will continue to share our results online.
