🌟 Riverside Beat – Weekly Round‑Up! 🌟 It’s been another busy week for the Riverside team, with plenty of proactive policing, community engagement, and great results. Here’s just a few things we’ve been up to: 📱 Robbery on Western Road PCSO Hafsa and PC Fabian responded to a report of a mobile phone robbery after a device was snatched straight from a victim’s hands. We’ve since shared safety tips across our social media and at local events to help you keep your valuables secure. Stay vigilant and look out for each other! 🎓 DMU Spring Welcome Event Riverside officers enjoyed meeting students and staff at the De Montfort University Spring Welcome. It was a fantastic opportunity for the community to ask questions, learn more about local policing, and get to know the team. 🚨 23-Hour Shift & Emergency Warrant A shoutout to PC Callum, who completed a 23‑hour shift after an emergency warrant was obtained and executed the same evening. Several individuals were arrested for drug-related offences, and enquiries continue. 👀 Operation Eye Spy Our officers joined multiple teams for Op Eye Spy—a proactive community safety initiative tackling anti-social behaviour, supporting vulnerable residents, and responding to local concerns. The operation was very well received and delivered strong results across the board. 🌿 Cannabis Grow Located PC Callum and PC Merryn worked alongside the priority team to locate a cannabis grow. One male was found inside the property and arrested. The investigation remains ongoing. ⚡ Operation Pedalfast This week we also took part in Op Pedalfast, targeting illegal e-bikes and e-scooters to keep roads and pathways safe for everyone. 🚴 High-Visibility Bike Patrols PCSO V got plenty of miles in during bike patrols—covering a large area and engaging with members of the community along the way. High-visibility policing continues to be one of our best tools for prevention and reassurance. Thank you to everyone who stopped to speak with us or shared information this week. Your support makes a real difference. 👊 Stay safe, Riverside!
