Local rouge trader issues

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Theft / Fraud (in person), which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Today, PC 146 and PC 4516 attended the coffee morning at the EMH Community Centre on Prior Park Road, Ashby De-La-Zouch. Our visit follows reports of recent rogue trader activity in the area, where a white male with a local accent, described as being in his 20s or 30s, has been going door‑to‑door selling household cleaning products at significantly inflated prices.

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind residents to:
- Ensure all windows and doors are securely closed and locked
- Always check the identity of anyone who calls at your home
- Report any concerns directly to the Police — online, via 101, or 999 in an emergency
