🚓 Local Policing Update – February

Here’s what your local beat team has been focusing on recently:

🏠 Burglary

Our officers continue to carry out targeted, intelligence‑led patrols using both marked and unmarked vehicles. We are working closely with CID to progress all burglary investigations.

Recent activity includes:
• House‑to‑house and CCTV enquiries
• Reassurance visits to victims
• Focused patrols in affected areas
• Supporting ongoing enquiries to identify and arrest offenders

We are also developing our intelligence picture to ensure we deploy resources effectively, deter criminal activity, and bring offenders to justice.

🚗 Road Safety

We continue to maintain a visible policing presence in areas highlighted for road‑safety concerns. This includes:
• Regular marked‑vehicle patrols
• Deployment of the speed gun device
• Robust action taken where appropriate

We are also working alongside the Road Safety Partnership to request mobile speed‑camera deployments where needed.

🌾 Rural Crime

Our team, together with the Rural Policing Team, has been proactively patrolling rural areas day and night.

Recent work includes:
• Responding to hare coursing reports
• Visiting victims and providing tailored crime‑prevention advice
• Following up on enquiries and speaking to victims face‑to‑face
• Working to recover and reunite stolen equipment
• Taking firm action against offenders involved in rural crime
