Theft from motor vehicles

Good morning all,

Please be aware that we are experiencing an increase in theft from vehicles on the area at the moment.  This is being investigated by officers but in the mean time please take the following precautions:

🔒 Lock it – Always double-check your doors and windows, even if you’re only stepping away for a moment.
👜 Hide it – Remove valuables or keep them completely out of sight. Bags, wallets, sunglasses, and tech left visible are easy targets.
💡 Light it – Park in well‑lit, busy areas whenever possible. Thieves avoid attention.
📱 Take it – Don’t leave keys, documents, or devices in your vehicle.
🎥 Secure it – If you have CCTV or doorbell cameras, make sure they're working and angled towards your driveway.
🚫 Don’t tempt fate – Even loose change or charging cables can signal that something valuable might be inside.

👀 If you see something suspicious, report it straight away.
