School Parking Patrol – Albert Village Primary |
||
|
Today PC1234 Owain and PCSO6686 Maddie carried out parking patrols outside Albert Village school. While many parents and carers parked safely, we also saw some shocking parking, including vehicles placed far too close to junctions and obstructing visibility.
During the checks, 6 drivers were moved on for parking too close to a junction, which significantly increases the risk of an accident. We cannot be there every day, so we rely on parents and carers to park sensibly to keep the whole school community safe.
Where you can park In marked parking bays Safely and legally along the roadside where no restrictions are in place Away from junctions, crossings and school entrances In a place that does not block driveways or reduce visibility
Where you must not park Within 10 metres of a junction On zig‑zags or school keep‑clear markings On pavements where it obstructs pedestrians, wheelchairs or prams Across dropped kerbs In a way that blocks sight lines for children crossing
Thank you to those who continue to park considerately — small actions make a big difference to children’s safety. | ||
