TRAFFIC UPDATE – HIGHFIELD STREET, COALVILLE

Leicestershire County Council has confirmed a revised date for upcoming works on Highfield Street, Coalville, linked to a new gas connection by Cadent Gas.

⭐New dates:

The planned road closure will now take place from 5th February 2026 for approximately three days.

🔍 Why the change?

Due to several emergency road closures already affecting the area, the council instructed Cadent Gas to delay these works to help reduce overall disruption to local residents and road users.

🔄 Diversion Route:

A signed diversion will be in place via:

Ashburton Road → Central Road → Belvoir Road → Vaughan Street → Gutteridge Street → James Street → Belvoir Road → Central Road → Ashburton Road.
