Hi Western Ward residents,

🚓 Western Ward Beat Team – School Patrols 🚸

PC Georgia and PC Amric from the Western Ward beat team have been carrying out patrols around Dovelands Primary School following ongoing parking concerns during school drop‑off and pick‑up times.

Our officers are engaging with parents, school staff, and the wider community to improve road safety, keep access routes clear, and ensure a safer environment for pupils and other road users.

🚗 Points to remember:
✅ Please park considerately and legally
❌ Do not stop or park in the middle of the road to let children out
❌ Do not park on the corner of junctions or block visibility
❌ No parking on yellow zig‑zag lines outside the school
❌ Do not use school entrance gates or access points as turning areas
✅ Avoid obstructing driveways, crossings, and emergency access routes

🚔 This work is continuing
The Western Ward beat team will be continuing with our operation to tackle this ongoing issue and will be attending schools across the Western Ward to help improve safety during the school run.
