Westcotes Weekly Update Our local neighbourhood policing team has been busy across Westcotes this week, carrying out a mix of enforcement, safeguarding and proactive patrols to keep residents safe and supported.
Male Arrest – Recall Officers arrested a male who was wanted on recall to prison. He was located within the area and taken into custody without incident, removing an offender from the community and reducing further risk.
Rape and Harassment Refresher Training Officers completed specialist refresher training focused on rape and harassment investigations. This training helps ensure victims are treated with dignity, their reports are taken seriously, and the highest standards of investigation are maintained.
Scene Preservation – City Support Our team assisted with preserving a scene in the city following an incident. Officers secured the area and supported specialist units so that enquiries could be carried out effectively.
First Aid Refresher Training Officers undertook first aid refresher training to ensure they remain confident and capable of dealing with medical emergencies, including serious injuries and life-threatening situations.
Welfare Check – Vulnerable Adult A welfare visit was carried out at an address following concerns for a vulnerable adult. Officers ensured the individual was safe and well and made referrals to partner agencies where appropriate.
Plain Clothes Patrols – Priority Areas Plain-clothed officers carried out targeted patrols in beat priority hotspot locations. This resulted in two males being detained, helping to disrupt criminal activity and provide reassurance to residents.
Thank you for continuing to support your local Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing Team. We remain committed to tackling crime, protecting the vulnerable and keeping our community safe.
