👮‍♂️ Training & Preparedness

On Tuesday, officers completed their mandatory Taser refresher training, ensuring they remain up to date with essential safety skills.
Officers have also taken part in specialist CBRN response training, boosting our ability to respond quickly and effectively to major incidents should they arise.

🚨 Shoplifting Incident

Earlier this week, PCSO Tim and PCSO Hannah chased a shoplifting suspect through the city centre. Although the suspect managed to evade officers, the stolen items were safely recovered and returned to the store. An investigation is ongoing.

🌿 Drugs Activity Tackled

Today, officers recovered a quantity of cannabis from the Town Hall Square area.
In separate action, several individuals were arrested in Town Hall Square for drug dealing, helping us continue to keep the city centre safe for everyone.

🚴 Community Engagement

Earlier in the week, PC Tom and Jane held a successful bike registration event in Town Hall Square, helping cyclists protect their bikes through security marking.
A few days ago, Jane hosted a well-attended drop‑in event at Bishop Street Library, speaking with members of the public about local concerns and offering crime-prevention advice.
