📢 PCSO Local Beat News – Sileby, Barrow upon Soar, Cotes, Seagrave, Hoton and the Wolds

1. Recent Patrol Activity

Your local beat team have been carrying out late‑shift patrols across both villages and other areas on the beat, focusing on areas affected by recent burglaries and theft from motor vehicles. Residents are being encouraged to review their home security and report any suspicious behaviour immediately via 999.

2. Community Engagement:

The beat team will soon be organising street consultations across the Sileby & Barrow beat area. These will be advertised on both Neighbourhood Link and the Charnwood Police social media channels.

3. Ongoing Priorities:

Recent focus areas for the beat include:

Drug dealing in Sileby and Barrow – an ongoing concern linked to organised crime. Police are carrying out intelligence‑led operations, targeted patrols, and working closely with partner agencies to disrupt activity.

Burglaries – targeted investigations continue, with recent successes including recovery of stolen items from local addresses.

Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) – particularly around Sileby Memorial Park, now identified as a hotspot. The ASB car conducts regular patrols, and officers are issuing warnings, CPNs, and working with the council.

4. Beat Surgeries:

Beat surgeries have been held at Barrow Library and Sileby Library and the BREWery Cafe in Sileby, providing opportunities for residents to meet officers and raise concerns.

We are looking for other places to hold beat surgeries, so please let us know if you would like one closer to your address!
