![]()
Dear Neighbourhood Link Members, We want to share the latest updates on our Belgrave Neighbourhood Policing priorities. Our team has reviewed recent reports and identified key areas where we are focusing our efforts to keep our community safe.
![]() PRIORITY NE09 – Crime: Burglary
Our Actions: Increased foot and vehicle patrols in affected areas, especially during peak times (evenings/nights). Door-to-door visits in hotspot streets to provide crime prevention advice (locks, alarms, lighting) and encourage reporting of suspicious activity. Collect information on patterns, entry methods, and times; liaise with CID and analysts to identify suspects and trends.
Work with local councils, housing associations, and CCTV operators to improve surveillance and environmental design (e.g., lighting). Share updates via social media, community meetings, and leaflets to reassure residents and promote prevention measures. Stop/search where grounds exist, monitor known offenders, and check vehicles linked to suspicious activity. PRIORITY NE09 – Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)Focus Areas: We have seen an increase in reports of ASB in these areas. Here’s what we’re doing: Our Actions: We are planning multi-agency traffic operations and working with partners to educate the community on road safety and the impact of road traffic collisions. Regular foot and vehicle patrols in hotspot areas to deter ASB and street drinking. Speaking with individuals and groups to explain local by-laws and the impact of ASB on the community. Using powers under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 to issue Community Protection Notices (CPNs), dispersal orders, and other interventions. Liaising with local councils, community safety teams, and outreach services to address underlying issues such as addiction or homelessness. Recording incidents, identifying repeat offenders, and sharing information with relevant agencies for targeted interventions. Providing updates to residents and businesses to show visible action and improve public confidence. ![]() PRIORITY NE10 – CrimeFocus Areas: We have seen an increase in these crimes.
