Police: Cottesmore Update

Hello Cottesmore and surrounding area,

This is a message mainly for parents of teenage children in the village, or those who may visit the village. 

We are receiving reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) at Cottesmore Community Centre. This is a problem that occurred last year and seemed to drop off after increasing patrols and putting out a similar message like this with an appeal to the community. 

Unfortunately, on this most recent occasion we have received reports of damage to outdoor furniture. This is really disheartening, the community centre is a fantastic facility that provides a safe and supportive place for so many people in Cottesmore, and further afield. 

If you do have teenage or similar aged children in Cottesmore that go out with their friends unsupervised in the evening, please have a conversation with them about where they are going and what they are doing. Please inform, educate and discourage them from committing ASB and should any information come to light that may be useful in identifying who might be committing this behaviour, please inform me and/or report it to the Police via the website or by calling 101. 

Please also make them aware that I and the team will be stepping up patrols in the area at the effected times and if they are there, committing ASB, they will be caught.
