✅ Beaumont Shopping Centre Update 👮

Over the past few months, we’ve seen an increase in reports of antisocial behaviour at Beaumont Shopping Centre. Your local neighbourhood team has been working hard 💪 to tackle these issues and keep the area safe for everyone.

Here’s what we’ve been doing:

🔹 Problem Management Plan (PMP) – We’ve put a plan in place to address the root causes of these problems and find long-term solutions. This will run until February and be reviewed to make sure it’s working. ✅

Recent Action Taken:

👮 Last week, a group involved in thefts, public disorder, and damage was dealt with. Five individuals were arrested, given strong words of advice, and issued Community Resolutions with conditions.
✉️ 5 Warning letters have been sent to start an incremental approach, and those involved have been signposted to support agencies and youth clubs.
📄 2 Repeat offenders have been placed back on Acceptable Behaviour Agreements, reviewed regularly with housing and police.
🛒 Two young people were stopped on suspicion of shoplifting – no stolen items were found.
🛴 An e-scooter was seized after being ridden inside the shopping centre.
🌙 A persistent offender was arrested late at night, and safeguarding reports are being completed to provide support and reduce offending.

✅ Thanks to these actions, we’ve already seen a reduction in calls about antisocial behaviour. 📉
