📚 Community Engagement at Willesley Primary School! 🚓

Yesterday, officers visited Willesley Primary School in Ashby to talk to the children about their “People Who Help Us” theme. The pupils had an amazing time asking questions—one even asked if we use giraffes in the police! 🦒 (Sadly, no giraffes yet! 😉)

The children explored a police car up close, sat inside, and even heard the sirens. They thanked us with some beautiful pictures they had made for us. 💙

Why is this important?
Engaging with young children helps build trust and positive relationships between the police and the community from an early age. It shows that officers are approachable, here to help, and part of keeping everyone safe. These experiences also encourage curiosity in a fun, memorable way.
