Yesterday, officers Mary (6633) and Abigail (6650) responded to an unusual call – a flock of sheep contained within an industrial site at Bardon Hill.

After visiting farms in and around the area, we were initially unable to locate the rightful owner. But thanks to the incredible power of the farming community, word spread quickly, and we were able to gather the owner’s details 🚜

We would also like to thank:

MTS Logistics 🚛 for containing the sheep, keeping them safe and for giving them some yummy carrots 🥕

Redgate Animal Sanctuary🐾 for providing food and water to keep the sheep safe and comfortable, and for offering to care for them if needed.

Little Markfield Farm🏡 for stepping up and offering to take the sheep in rather than leaving them in the car park.

And of course, thank you to everyone who helped🙌 – whether in person, over the phone, or via social media. Your support made all the difference!

We’re happy to report the owner was found and is extremely relieved his sheep are safe and sound. 🐑💚
