Beat Team Weekly Roundup 👋 Hello Leicester! Here’s what your local beat team has been up to this past week, working hard to keep our community safe and connected: Thursday
PC Tom met with a Station Manager from Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service to plan a joint initiative for Operation PedalFast. This partnership will help share important community safety messages and road safety advice. Sunday
Officers supported the Nagar Kirtan procession, ensuring everyone could enjoy the event safely and that traffic flowed as smoothly as possible throughout the day. Monday
The team carried out Operation PedalFast, resulting in:
✅ 20 vehicles seized for various offences
✅ 1 rider prosecuted for motoring offences
This operation continues to tackle unsafe and illegal vehicles to keep our roads safer for everyone. Tuesday Evening
Officers assisted with Operation SWAM, a proactive operation targeting drug use and dealing in the city centre. Visible policing and intelligence-led action helped disrupt criminal activity and reassure the community. 📅 Other Days
We’ve also been conducting Safer Business Action (SaBA) Days, working closely with local businesses to improve safety, reduce crime, and strengthen community partnerships. These days included crime prevention advice, high-visibility patrols, and engagement with shop owners to address concerns around theft and antisocial behaviour. 💬 Thank you for your continued support!
