Dear residents,
Our neighbourhood team has been actively working across the area this week to support the community, increase visibility, and take targeted action to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour. Below is an overview of key activity and outcomes:
Front Enquiry Office Support
PCSOs provided dedicated support in our front enquiry office throughout the week. This included:
Assisting members of the public with crime reports and safeguarding concerns
Offering advice around online fraud, neighbourhood disputes, and vulnerability referrals
Directing residents to specialist support services where needed
Being accessible and available for residents remains central to our community-focused approach.
Arrest Executed – Wanted on Warrant
Officers located and arrested a female who was wanted on warrant for failing to attend court.
The individual was safely detained and taken into custody
The case has now progressed through the justice system
This proactive arrest helps ensure accountability and supports local victims and partners.
Firework & ASB Prevention Patrols
With firework-related activity increasing, officers carried out targeted patrols to deter anti-social behaviour and promote safe celebrations. Activity included:
High-visibility patrols in identified hotspot areas
Engagement with young people and parents around safe and considerate firework use
Speaking with businesses and residents to gather intelligence
Road Safety – Fatal 4 Enforcement & Education
Officers carried out Fatal 4 enforcement and engagement on patrol — focusing on the four biggest causes of fatal road collisions:
Speeding
Drink/drug driving
Mobile phone use while driving
Not wearing a seatbelt
Several motorists were stopped and spoken to, with advice given and education delivered where appropriate.
Thank You
We appreciate the support and information we continue to receive from residents. Your reports and engagement help us plan targeted patrols and take action where it matters most.
If you see anything concerning or need advice, please continue to get in touch through the usual channels.
Stay safe and thank you for working with us.
