Priority 1

To promote safety during the night time economy in the City Centre

 YOU SAID: 

-You want to enjoy the Leicester City Centre nightlife and feel safe whilst doing so. You want to ensure that licensed premises our operating in accordance with their license. 

*OCTOBER UPDATE*

-We deployed officers into the early NTE with a drugs dog to tackle and remove drugs and individuals from the NTE. The operation resulted in 3 arrests, over 20 stop and searches conducted and a quantity of drugs removed. 

-We have deployed Operation Pedalfast into the later evening hours tackling those who are driving illegally through the city centre during the dark hours and with a large footfall present. We have now seized 568 illegal vehicles. 

-Officers have been conducting dedicated patrols around the area pf Bath Lane to tackle student related ASB during the late evening and NTE. We have been working with accommodation providers and local partners to address community concerns.

Priority 2

To reduce and prevent burglary in the City Centre

YOU SAID: 

-Burglary is a concern for you during the darker nights and you want your City Centre to be safe.

*OCTOBER UPDATE*

-The team have been conducting high visibility patrols in high harm areas to prevent and tackle this priority. 

-We have made 3 arrests for burglary with 1 subject receiving a custodial sentence of over 8 months. 

-We have identified another male through CCTV enquires and arrest attempts continue.

Priority 3

To reduce anti-social behaviour and misuse of space at Town Hall Square 

 YOU SAID: 

-You want to enjoy the Town Hall Square and surrounding area but ASB is a concern.

*OCTOBER UPDATE*

-The team have focused their patrols around this area which has resulted in some great results.

-2 males arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

-1 male arrested for robbery.

-We have also had some positive stop searches in the area, disrupting criminality and anti-social behaviour.
